Jeez, the PNW seems to be a treasure trove of well kept older cars. I could only dream about seeing something like this on my local Craigslist.

I saw a 1st gen Cavalier today, running and driving on the freeway, that still had all of it’s paint. Rust is not a problem here, Eugene doesn’t even own salt trucks. All the cars that are known to have rust issues are a common sight.

There’s no salt on the roads, temperatures are very mild year-round, and the damaging sunshine is completely blocked by depressing grayness and drizzle for 10 months out of the year. Too bad there’s only like, 3 maybe 4 car enthusiasts in the entire region.
